About this palette

French Ultramarine (blue), Permanent Rose (red), Lemon Yellow Hue, and optional Titanium White. Screen colors cannot determine a precise physical paint recipe. These proportions use an approximate subtractive model, without measured pigment data.

MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME

A small guide to Painter.

  1. Start with your canvas. Name your project and enter the dimensions of your physical canvas.
  2. Find the composition. Add references, select one, then drag, scale, rotate or mirror it. Each reference keeps its own placement.
  3. Look for the big shapes. Create the Color & shape layer. Choose 4–6 colors and adjust the simplification.
  4. Try a paint recipe. Click a palette swatch or use Pick color. Ratios are starting estimates for small test mixtures.
